Practical English PresentationⅡ

Practical English PresentationⅡ (Fa11, 2024)

【Overview】
Practical English Presentation II is a credit-bearing course recognized by GP-Chem, which includes trend analysis presentations by D1 students in their respective research fields and presentations by D2 students in “Research Discussion for DC2 Students”.
This year, presentations by D1 students will be conducted as follows:
* D2 and D3 students who are unable to participate in “Research Discussion for DC2 Students” on Saturday, November 30, due to overseas training will also present in this session.

【Schedule】
Date & Time: Every Wednesday at 18:00 from October 9 to December 4, 2024 (December 4 is a backup date)
Format: Online(https://zoom.us/j/94719751873?pwd=Suxsl9yb6ZZ9QfsQbYwUMdCmIXzbZr.1

【About the Presentations】
Presentation Time: 20 minutes for the presentation / 10 minutes for Q&A
Language: English
Content : A analysis of the current state of each research topic
・Explanation of the significance and objectives of the research topic, along with an overview of past studies in the field (not a presentation of one’s own research)
・If introducing one’s own research, limit it to a single slide
・The presentation should correspond to the introduction section of a PhD thesis, summarizing past research in the field
・Use clear and accessible language so that researchers from other fields can understand
・Do not simply present your master’s thesis in English. Instead, provide an easy-to-understand overview of research trends in the relevant field.

※ For general guidelines on writing a review, please refer to “How to Write a Review” .

【Presentation Schedule and Titles】
※ Presentation times may vary. (The times listed below include the Q&A session.)
※ Presentations marked in blue are part of “Research Discussion for DC2 Students”, where the presentation time will be 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for Q&A.
